About
A small studio that builds apps and keeps them running.
Yarp Developers is run by Kelvin Gitu: 4 Flutter apps live on Google Play, client work like LISABEM Security, and a handful of Windows desktop apps in the store. We build every part of them ourselves — interface, Firestore schema, Cloud Functions, subscription plumbing, and the store listing that gets rejected and resubmitted until it isn't.

The story
Building is an afternoon. Keeping it alive is the work.
Our background is in mechatronic engineering, which taught us less about code than about the distance between building something and keeping it alive. A feature is an afternoon's work. Keeping it running for real users, on someone else's billing account, under someone else's review policy, is the actual work — and it's what these projects are really about. 240 releases so far.

How we work
What keeping it running looks like
Incident · Sleevr
Google Cloud suspended the project in May 2026.
The whole story →Domain · ShopFlow
Kenyan shopkeepers sell on credit constantly, so a ledger that only records paid sales is useless to them.
The whole story →Data · Three Clues
The game is only as good as its word list, so the 1,864 words went through a pipeline before shipping: duplicate detection, format normalisation, and an automated pass that scored every clue for quality.
The whole story →Observability · Day's End
Counting the same event across every user means a handful of Firestore documents take every write.
The whole story →Reliability · LISABEM Security
A panic button that fails once is worse than none, and guards work nights at sites with poor signal.
